North by Northern Detroit!!
I'm back, for the weekend! Back from Florida, back to home, with a brief stop in The Rochester condo, where I put some good work into cleaning out the basement. I am only here for a couple of days, then I am going back to Rochester to finish cleaning out the basement, then to Battle Creek for Richard Swains 75th Birthday extravaganza!! Good times for sure!
The weekend has been nice, with the whole family up for the weekend. Mom and Suzanne came up Friday night from the opera, and I came with dad a little earlier. Terry came up last night late from work, and he is hoping to get a little fishing in. We were surprised this morning at about 11:00 when Terry's Dad and Sandy came by for a visit from Florida. They are in the area looking for a new place to move, having had their fill of the sunshine state for the time being. It was nice to catch up with them and see them again.
We moved a couple of truck fulls of stuff from the condo up here, and mowed the grass. I haven't gotten the Mary Deere riding mower ready yet, so I had to do it the old fashioned way, walking behind the push mower. O well, it is good excersize, right?
When I get back to Rochester, I am planning on getting a new tire for my bike, which has a bent stem and won't hold air, which is holding up my training for the big ride in 2 months, but I will be back on track soon.
The boat is in the water, and the dock is in. I think this is the first year we ever got them in the water in the right order! The family took a ride in the boat yesterday (sans me) and enjoyed it a lot. I am waiting on a little nicer weather, since we have a cold front here and temps are staying in the 60's and lower. It will turn around soon.
I hope all is well with you all. I will post again soon!

Well, we really appreciate David's help here, although we miss him now. The roof still isn't completely done, but when it is lower than 90 degrees, we will complete the trim that awaits!
Apparently David is so busy helping mom and dad with their condo renovations to sell that he hasn't had time to post another blog entry.
We all love you Dave and can't wait to see you again when there are no chores or projects to be done.
Love, Diane
