another day in Farwell

This is a way for my freinds and family to try to keep in touch with me and my family in our new homes in Mid Michigan.

They Leave Again!

My oh my. The fish are safe again! Terry packed up Ginger and headed back yesterday around 2:00. Ginger felt it coming and decided to play deaf. I swear, if there was ever a smarter dog with better luxury instincts, I haven't seen it. Unfortunately for Terry (and fortunately for the fish!) he was shut out for his trip. He did have a great time though, and spent many hours on the ice.

I am personally happy because he seams to really enjoy the radio walk man I gave him for Christmas. He is tough to shop for, and is just as likely to enjoy a small gift then an extravagent gift. We missed Suzanne, but we are sure she is keeping the Opera safe from the going ons in the big city.

Dad left this morning and called 15 minuts later to tell us that the express way was shut down. He had to get off of US 10 at Loomis, then found his way south to 20 and took that east to Midland, where he was able to get back on and roll on to 75. What excitement in the roads up here!!

He had a great time working on his dest. He put a lot of lamanent on and is getting excited about seeing the finish coming (although not as soon as he would like). I will add some pics next time. He also is having a wonderful time watching me not drink for Lent. It is funny, I feel like it isn't a big deal, but everyone else is making a big deal about it. I guess I will continue to ponder this while I don't drink for about 5 more weeks.

Mom gave up wine at the same time, so we are having fun teasing each other. It has been a pretty good week. Next week I go down to Rochester for a few days to work on the condo, and then I join my dad on a trip to Battle Creek to see Richard and Mary Swain. We have many activities planned, including dinner at the American Legion for St. Patricks Day (it seems a litle sacriligiouse to not spend St. Pat's in Clare), a texas hold em' tourney to help a good cause, and time with Richard and Mary is priceless.

Next Wensday, Mom goes to FLA to see the grandkids and all. She was strutting around yesterday telling me about how cool it is going to be to see the Tigers play a spring training game in Lakeland with the boys. I am green with jealousy. I do hope they have a good time, and mom takes lots of photos. I can't wait to hear about how that goes. She is regulating me with the job of Xing off the calander of days of lent without drinking while she is gone. I guess it is a close second (cough, cough!!!).

Well thats all for now. I will post again soon!

Peace!
